Raiders owner Mark Davis got into it with fans who told him to fire head coach Josh McDaniels

You don’t see many owners do this.

Despite having plenty of success as an offensive coordinator throughout his coaching career with the Patriots, Josh McDaniels simply has not been able to carry those winning ways over to head coaching.

We’re only four weeks into McDaniels’ second season at the helm in Las Vegas, and Raiders fans are already clamoring for a change. They’re even going to team owner Mark Davis directly with those demands.

The Raiders dropped to 1-3 on the season after Sunday’s 24-17 loss to the Chargers in a virtual home game at SoFi Stadium. With the Raiders at 7-14 under McDaniels, some fans spotted Davis in the owner’s suite and told him to get rid of McDaniels in the middle of the game.

Let’s just say that the Raiders owner didn’t take kindly to that advice.

Video from the game showed Davis arguing back with the fans, telling them to “smarten up.”

Now, Davis hasn’t been known for his patience when it comes to head coaches, and he often makes changes after just a couple of seasons. But he clearly has confidence in McDaniels (at least for now) or else you wouldn’t have seen him engage in the argument with fans.
