Raiders officially add four undrafted rookies, waive six veterans

It took a while to get them out officially, but the Raiders announced Tuesday they have added four undrafted rookies. Here are the following players the team has signed:

  • Linebacker Javin White
  • Tight end Nick Bowers
  • Cornerback Madre Harper
  • Long snapper Liam McCullough

White is staying in the area, having played his college ball at UNLV. Over four seasons, he appeared in 43 games with 29 starts. Career totals include 201 tackles (124 solo), including 18 for loss, 3.5 sacks, nine interceptions, 15 pass breakups, and seven forced fumbles. He was named to the UNLV All-Decade Team at linebacker after finishing sixth in Rebels history in interceptions and third in forced fumbles.

Bowers was selected to the All-Big Ten Team as a senior appearing in 13 contests and with two starts. He set career highs in receptions (10), receiving yards (214) and touchdowns (3).

Harper played two seasons at Southern Illinois after transferring from Oklahoma State. In ten starts as a senior in 2019 he has two interceptions, 14 pass breakups, and 42 tackles (30 solo) and 14 pass breakups.

McCullough was the primary long snapper all four years at Ohio State. He successful on 577 consecutive snaps and was named a finalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award as a senior, an award given annually to the nation’s top long-snapper.

In corresponding moves, the team waived tight end Paul Butler, linebacker Te’von Coney, defensive end Kendall Donnerson, quarterback DeShone Kizer, offensive linemen Kyle Kalis and linebacker Quentin Poling.

The team had four open roster spots which meant the four additions to the team could have been made without any corresponding moves. Former 49ers offensive tackle Sam Young has also reportedly been added. They made six cuts which means you can expect as many as five more players added in short order.
