They should really just rename the French Open after Rafael Nadal (I know it’s also called Roland-Garros!).
He’s won the Grand Slam in France twelve times, including the last three years in his 30s, and on Friday, he reached the final in 2020 and will either face Novak Djokovic or Stefanos Tsitsipas.
When you look at just how dominate he’s been over the years, it’s unbelievably mind-blowing. The numbers showing his dominance — both this year and in a storied career that could see him win a 20th Grand Slam this weekend — need to be spotlighted.
So here are a few numbers from Nadal’s career at the French Open:
