Purdue has the 39th-ranked scoring defense, allowing just 60.2 points per game in 5 games this season. This includes holding Gonzaga to just 66 points to reach the tournament title game after holding West Virginia to 68 in its 1st-round game. Both games were comfortable wins as Purdue scored 80 and 84 points. If Purdue remains stingy on defense the Blue Devils could find themselves on the wrong side of this game.
Duke has made it to the title despite an unimpressive run through the tournament. A 54-51 win over Oregon State was followed by a 71-64 victory over Xavier in the 2nd-round. Coach John Scheyer has the talent, but he will need to get the team to mold if he wants to win the ACC in his first season at the helm of the perennial national championship contenders. Ranking outside the top 50 in scoring on offense, the Blue Devils will need to raise this to compete with teams like North Carolina in conference and teams like Gonzaga and UCLA when March Madness starts.

After a tough matchup against Gonzaga, Purdue will be a bit more tired than Duke and I am giving the slight edge to Duke in this game. At just -1.5 (-110) I will ride with the Blue Devils to get a top-25 win here.
