- Purdue enters on a 2-game win streak, coming off a 75-58 victory at Nebraska Saturday. The Boilermakers, who covered the spread as 7.5-point favorites, used a 19-4 run to pull away in the second half. Junior F Trevion Williams leads Purdue with 16.0 points per game and 9.1 rebounds per game.
- Penn State also beat Nebraska in its last game, snapping a 4-game skid with an 86-83 home win Tuesday. Junior G Myreon Jones scored a career-high 29 points, but the Nittany Lions failed to cover as 6.5-point favorites. Senior G Jamari Wheeler broke a 70-all tie with a 3-pointer at the 5:59 mark and hit a pair of free throws with 12 seconds left before the Cornhuskers missed a 3 in the final seconds. Jones leads the Lions with 15.6 PPG.
- Purdue improved to 10-1 in the last 11 games vs. Penn State with an 80-72 home win as a 3.5-point favorite in mid-January. All five Purdue starters scored in double figures with junior G Sasha Stefanovic’s 15 points leading the way.
