Projected first-round pass rusher David Ojabo tore Achilles

The pass rusher connected to the Cardinals in many mock drafts will not be out at least six months.

One of the more intriguing pass-rushing prospects of the 2022 draft suffered a major injury. Michigan pass rusher David Ojabo, projected to be drafted in the first round in April, has torn his Achilles, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Arizona Cardinals were a team connected to Ojabo in many mock drafts.

His recovery time could be about six months.

That could mean he is able to play at some point in the regular season his rookie year. However, he will not have gotten any offseason reps.

This is a major blow to Ojabo’s draft stock. The sure first-rounder might not get selected in Round 1.

The Cardinals have the 23rd pick in the first round. If he is on the board, would they pass on him because of the injury?

That will become an interesting development to watch in the next month.
