The fourth-ranked team in all of college football, Alabama, had a rough first half against the Tennessee Volunteers, but bounced back strong in the second half and finished the game 52-24.
Tennessee held a one possession lead in the second quarter, but the Crimson Tide answered quickly shortly after and went into the half with a one-touchdown lead.
Star quarterback Bryce Young had a stellar game, throwing 31 completions on 43 attempts for 371 yards and two passing touchdowns. He also managed to use his legs for 42 yards and two additional touchdowns.
On the receiving ends of Young’s passes were and handful of receivers, especially John Metchie III and Jameson Williams, who combined for 17 catches, 144 yards and two touchdowns.
Brian Robinson once again led the Crimson Tide ground game, rushing for 107 yards on 26 carries for three touchdowns.
The Crimson Tide defense did an amazing job containing a hot Hendon Hooker, who only completed 19 passes for 282 yards, three touchdowns and an interception.
Three ball carriers amounted to only 64 yards on the ground for Tennessee.
Alabama now has the next week off and will prepare to face the LSU Tigers in two weeks.
