Point spread posted for Notre Dame-Navy this weekend

Which side are you taking?

It’s a bit of a different feel when Notre Dame and Navy meet in a rivalry that had to be placed on hold last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The two foes will meet for the 94th time in a series the Irish lead 79-13-1 all time.

They’re two teams playing on two different levels as No. 8 Notre Dame is 7-1 and thinking big-time bowl game while Navy sits at 2-6 as the final stretch of 2021 season begins.  Kyle Hamilton being out doesn’t help Notre Dame but it certainly isn’t like Navy is about to throw the ball around the yard.

So how big of a favorite is Notre Dame for this one?

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook

Line: Notre Dame -20.5
Moneyline: Notre Dame -1600, Navy +800
Total: 46.5

I’m a little surprised to see it this high because as bad as Navy is in terms of record, they have played significantly better of late, including winning in Tulsa and playing No. 2 Cincinnati within one touchdown.
