PODCAST: Should the Bills pursue Cam Newton?

Kyle Silagyi, Justin DiLoro, and McKenna Middlebrook debate whether or not the Buffalo Bills should pursue quarterback Cam Newton.

A franchise-defining era came to a disappointing end in Charlotte this week, as the Carolina Panthers released former MVP quarterback Cam Newton.

Newton, who led the Panthers to an NFC Championship in 2015, is now free to sign with a team of his choosing. Given his history with members of the Buffalo Bills’ brass – general manager Brandon Beane was a member of Carolina’s front office when the team selected him in 2011 while head coach Sean McDermott served as the Panthers’ defensive coordinator for the first six years of Newton’s career – many have linked Newton to the budding young team in Western New York.

On this episode of The Kyle Silagyi Variety Hour, host Kyle Silagyi is joined by BillsWire staff writers Justin DiLoro and McKenna Middlebrook to debate whether or not a Newton-Buffalo marriage makes sense. They also look at the Bills’ quarterback situation as a whole.
