Gary Harris has carved out a nice NBA career, somewhat under the radar. At 27 years old, Harris has signed a two-year, $26-million contract extension to stay with the Orlando Magic.
Harris was a coveted free agent this offseason after averaging 11.1 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 38.4-percent from three. Many thought Harris could get poached by a contender since he has become one of the more reliable two-way, role-playing wings in the league, but the Magic were intent on keeping him around to provide veteran leadership, defense and shooting to a young team.
