Player grades: James Harden, Sixers bounce back in win over Heat

James Harden and the Philadelphia 76ers were able to bounce back in a big way with a win over the Miami Heat.

MIAMI–The Philadelphia 76ers had a tall task on Wednesday night as they invaded Miami-Dade Arena to take on the Miami Heat. The Sixers had just lost to the Heat at home on Monday and they found out before the rematch that they would be without Joel Embiid due to left foot soreness.

The Heat got off to a good start as they were able to lean on the likes of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo to build an early lead, but the Sixers then got a big boost from their bench unit and they were able to flip the tables. Philadelphia led this one by as many as 25 points on its way to a 119-96 win over the Heat to begin a five-game road trip.

James Harden had 23 points, seven rebounds, and five assists, Tyrese Maxey had 27 and seven assists to lead the Sixers, and Tobias Harris had 18 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Paul Reed hopped off the bench and gave Philadelphia a big spark with 16 points and 14 boards and Shake Milton added 12.
