Here are your Nets player grades following Friday’s 122-117 loss to the Denver Nuggets.

NEW YORK — The Brooklyn Nets hosted the Denver Nuggets at Barclays Center on Friday and lost 122-117.

For the Nets, Cam Thomas had 23 points and two assists while Cam Johnson had 17 points and two assists. Mikal Bridges had 14 points and Dorian Finney-Smith had 14 points off the bench.

For the Nuggets, Jamal Murray had 32 points and nine assists while Nikola Jokic had 31 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists. Aaron Gordon had 18 points and Michael Porter Jr. had 15 points.

In the first half, both teams played to a standstill as Brooklyn finally started looking like themselves on the offensive end of the floor. While the defense could be better, the Nets gave more effort on that end and that allowed them to give the Nuggets some problems.

In the second half, it was more of the same as the Nets came to play and did not let the game get away from them in the third quarter like what has happened in some of their recent games. In the end, Brooklyn could not rebound a free-throw miss from Murray and that sealed the Nets’ fate despite such good play down the stretch.
