Player grades: Cam Thomas drops 32 as Nets lose to Jazz 125-108

Here are the Nets player grades following Monday’s 125-108 loss to the Utah Jazz.

The Brooklyn Nets visited Delta Center on Monday to take on the Utah Jazz and lost 125-108 in a disappointing fashion.

For the Nets, Cam Thomas had 32 points and four rebounds and Spencer Dinwiddie had 17 points and 11 assists. Mikal Bridges had 13 points and Nic Claxton had 11 points.

For the Jazz, Talen Horton-Tucker had 27 points and six assists while Collin Sexton had 27 points and three rebounds. Lauri Markkanen had 20 points and Walker Kessler had 14 points.

In the first half, both teams played evenly as the referees let the players play with some physical play from both sides. The Nets were able to get the slight edge in the second quarter thanks to the play of Cam Thomas and Spencer Dinwiddie.

In the second half, Brooklyn was competitive with Utah for the first half of the third quarter, but after that, matters changed on its head. Starting with the second half of the third period, the Jazz ran away with the game as the Nets could not buy a bucket and could not stop Utah no matter what they tried on that end.
