Pittsburgh Steelers place LB Devin Bush on injured reserve

Bush is officially done for the season after tearing his ACL versus the Browns on Sunday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced on Friday that second-year linebacker Devin Bush has been placed on injured reserve. He tore his ACL on a non-contact play in Sunday’s clash with the Browns.

“I just want to send out my thoughts and prayers to Devin [Bush] and his family and everything he’s going through right now,” Ben Roethlisberger told Steelers reporters after Sunday’s game. “It just makes you sick when someone, a young player, skilled like that, gets hurt.”

It appears that Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin plans to address the Bush’s void internally with a combination of the reserve inside linebackers. Robert Spillane was named the starter on Wednesday. The third-year player entered Sunday’s game and logged six tackles, including one for a six-yard loss.
