No. 2 seed Tennessee (25-8, 14-4 SEC) defeated No. 15 seed Saint Peter’s (19-14, 12-8 MAAC), 83-49, on Thursday at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The contest was in the first-round of the NCAA Tournament.
Tennessee advances to play in the second-round against Texas. The Longhorns defeated Colorado State, 56-44, on Thursday in the first-round of the NCAA Tournament.
Tennessee led Saint Peter’s, 46-20, at halftime.
Dalton Knecht led all scorers with 23 points. He also totaled eight rebounds and one assist. Jonas Aidoo scored 15 points for the Vols.
