The UNC men’s basketball program suffered its first ACC loss of the season, losing in a 74-73 nail-biter.
The loss snapped the Tar Heels 10-game winning streak and gave them their first road L. This loss stings even more for UNC because of the no-call at the end of the game. Hubert Davis drew up a well-executed play that got the ball in [autotag]RJ Davis’s [/autotag] hand, but the No whistle on a clear foul on the game-winning shot attempt overshadows creative efforts.
The Tar Heels will return to Chapel Hill looking to crank up a new winning streak, but it will start against their arch-rival Duke Blue Devils. The rivalry that has lasted for decades would be the perfect remedy to get over this ugly upset to the Yellow Jackets.
