The LSU women’s basketball team defeated Utah in the 2023 women’s NCAA tournament’s Sweet 16 on Friday night 66-63 thanks in large part to a pair of clutch free throws from [autotag]Alexis Morris[/autotag] to give the team a late lead.
With the seed upset over No. 2 Utah, the Tigers move on to face Miami in the Elite Eight on Sunday. The No. 9-seeded Hurricanes are coming off a pair of upsets having knocked off No. 1-seeded Indiana in the second round and No. 4 Villanova in the Sweet 16 earlier in the day Friday.
