Tennessee (20-5, 11-2 SEC) defeated Southeast Missouri State (17-3) Friday, 4-0, at Barksdale Stadium in the NCAA Tournament Knoxville Regional.
The Lady Vols advance to play Wake Forest on Saturday in the Knoxville Regional championship matches.
Wake Forest defeated Arizona State, 4-3.
Tennessee and Wake Forest will play on Saturday at 4 p.m. EDT. The winner will advance to a NCAA Tournament super regional.
“The University of Tennessee is all about winning, and our entire athletic department’s goal is to simply be among the few who are competing for championships,” Tennessee head coach Alison Ojeda said prior to playing Southeast Missouri State.
