Florida basketball played its most complete game of the season on Saturday afternoon inside the O’Connell Center against the Auburn Tigers, throttling the visitors in an 81-65 victory.
The Gators went wire-to-wire in this one, running out to a nine-point lead early and keeping their feet on the gas until the final minutes. Riley Kugel had one of his finer efforts of the season, dropping 22 while Walter Clayton Jr. (20) and Zyon Pullin (19) joined him with double digits as well.
The victory was a much-needed Quadrant 1 win, giving Todd Golden’s team their second this season in nine tries.
