PHOTOS: Highlights from Florida football’s loss at Kentucky

Here are some highlights from Florida’s disappointing Week 5 effort against Kentucky.

Florida football came into Lexington a slight underdog to the Kentucky Wildcats and came away like a beaten dog after the home team whipped the Gators, 33-14, at Kroger Field.

The Orange and Blue looked sluggish out of the gates and fell behind early, resulting in an insurmountable lead for the ‘Cats. Billy Napier’s boys allowed 16 points in the first quarter and were only able to score 14 the entire game… simply not the recipe for success in the Southeastern Conference.

The good-ish news is that quarterback Graham Mertz put together yet another perfectly cromulent performance, with his only major wart being an interception that was tipped by his receiver. Otherwise, he completed 83% of his passes for a 167 QB rating.

Take a look below at some highlights from Florida’s Week 5 loss at Kentucky, which will be the last time to two teams face each other as members of the SEC East division. It also represents the first three-game winning streak for UK since the late-40s, early-50s.
