PHOTOS: Highlights from Florida baseball’s rain-soaked loss to Tennessee

Take a peek at highlights from Saturday’s disappointing loss at Tennessee.

Florida baseball took two of three from the Tennessee Volunteers this weekend but was unable to complete the sweep thanks to a rain-soaked mercy-rule loss on Saturday, 14-2.

Starter Jac Caglianone was not even able to escape the first inning after issuing six walks — but no hits — with three men crossing the plate before Tyler Nesbitt finally stopped the bleeding. Unfortunately, there was still plenty of blood to be let by the Gators in this one.

Taking two of three on the road against the No. 11 team in the nation is nothing to scoff at and it is unlikely the one loss will affect Florida’s spot in the various rankings next week. Until then, take a look below at highlights from the Orange and Blue’s loss on Saturday, April 8, at Lindsey Nelson Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee.
