LSU had already gotten its season slightly back on track after an 0-5 start in SEC series, taking back-to-back against Missouri and Auburn. But this weekend was the first real sign that the Tigers may be turning things around.
They took a crucial series against No. 1-ranked Texas A&M in Baton Rouge, taking the first two games before losing in blowout fashion in Game 3 on Sunday. Still, that result helped LSU quite a bit, both in terms of its hopes of making the SEC tournament and getting back into NCAA consideration.
With a big win over the top team in the nation in the books, LSU is preparing for a midweek game at home against Northwestern State before it hits the road for a three-game set against Alabama.
