LSU was pushed to the limit this weekend in a top-15 battle against the 12th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats, but the No. 1 Tigers emerged victorious and remained unbeaten in SEC series this season.
After taking Game 1 in a blowout, run-rule fashion, LSU dropped Game 2, which forced a decisive Game 3 on Saturday. Following a rain delay, the Tigers survived a thriller to take the series with a 7-6 win.
LSU is sitting in a pretty good spot entering the back half of SEC play. The schedule eases up quite a bit from here, and the Tigers have either won or split every SEC series so far.
