The Tigers likely remain in a position to earn a top-eight national seed, but they’re not playing their best baseball right now.

LSU has now dropped back-to-back series after a Game 3 collapse on Sunday against Mississippi State. The Tigers led that one 13-4 in the sixth inning, but a rally from the Bulldogs took the game to extras, where they won 14-13 in 10 innings to clinch the series.

Coach Jay Johnson’s team boasts a talented lineup and the nation’s top pitcher in [autotag]Paul Skenes[/autotag], but the rest of the rotation and the bullpen has struggled in recent weeks. Heading into the final weekend of the regular season, LSU will look to bounce back on the road against a bubble team in Georgia that desperately needs to win that series.
