The nearly year-long saga between the Carolina Panthers and outside linebacker Brian Burns finally ended on Monday. But sadly, it ended in divorce.
After failing to reach a new long-term pact, the Panthers traded the two-time Pro Bowl pass rusher to the New York Giants in exchange for a 2024 second-round pick, a 2024 fifth-round pick swap and a 2025 fifth-round pick. The deal ended Burns’ run in Carolina, one that lasted for five productive seasons.
