Alabama hit the road to take on a strong Auburn team following a string of impressive in-conference wins. Though the Crimson Tide earned a win over the Tigers in Tuscaloosa just a few weeks ago, it was once again the home team that finished victorious.
A 99-81 loss for the Nate Oats-coached Alabama team leaves the program with an overall record this season of 16-7 and a conference record of 8-2. Before this loss, the Tide had sole possession of first place in the SEC. Now, the team shares the 8-2 record with South Carolina and Auburn. However, of the three, Alabama has the worst overall record.
The team will have to regroup quickly, as their next game will be on Saturday, Feb. 10 against LSU in Baton Rouge.
