Before Klay Thompson makes his long-awaited return to the Golden State Warriors after a two-season layoff due to injury, Dub Nation will get to see him on the big screen. The Golden State sharpshooter is part of the cast for the upcoming film “Space Jam: A New Legacy.”
Thompson joins the LeBron James-led sequel to Michael Jordan’s 90s classic with a flurry of other basketball stars. Instead of suiting up alongside James, Bugs Bunny and the Tune Squad, Thompson will bring his sharpshooting to a new edition of the Goon Squad.
While fans got a quick view of Thompson’s role during the debut trailer for Space Jam 2, the five-time All-Star revealed a better look at his character. On Twitter, Thompson posted a Space Jam movie poster with his character “Wet-Fire.”

From a look at the poster, it appears Thompson will have a mix of fire and water to go along with his Splash Brother skills.
Thompson, James and the rest of the Looney Tunes are set to hit the theaters and HBO Max on July 16.
