Penn State basketball routs Indiana for B1G win

Penn State scorched Indiana from three-point range in rout of Hoosiers on Wednesday night.

Penn State basketball returned to the Bryce Jordan Center and returned to the win column as well. The Nittany Lions dominated Indiana from start to finish in a 85-66 victory over the visiting Hoosiers to even its Big Ten record early in the year.

[autotag]Seth Lundy[/autotag] scored his 1,000th career point while powering the offense with 25 points. Lundy drained seven three-point shots as well to lead the way. [autotag]Andrew Funk[/autotag] was also on fire from beyond the arc with seven three-pointers made. Penn State tied a school record for a single game with 18 three-pointers made. Penn State set the program record for most threes in a game earlier this season against Winthrop.

Penn State also did well in moving the ball around. The 19 assists by the team were the most in a Big Ten game this season for Penn State.

The 19-point margin of victory is the largest for Penn State over Indiana in program history as well.

Penn State is now 2-12 in Big Ten games played at home with wins against Indiana and Iowa. The only Big Ten loss at home was against Michigan State in the Big Ten opener. Penn State snapped a two-game losing streak following losses at Michigan and to Purdue in Philadelphia.

Next up for Penn State is a road trip to Wisconsin to face the Badgers. Penn State will have some time to prepare for that next game, which is scheduled for next Tuesday, January 17.
