After a big home win earlier in the week, Penn State looks to pick up a second straight victory in Big Ten play on Saturday afternoon when they visit Ohio State. The Nittany Lions have not fared well away from the Bryce Jordan Center this season, but they do already own a head-to-head victory over the Buckeyes.
Kanye Clary led Penn State to a big come-from-behind victory against Ohio State in December in the early part of the Big Ten basketball schedule. Penn State was down by as many as 18 points on their home court before storming back for an 83-80 victory over Ohio State. Clary scored 19 points in the win. Penn State has now won three consecutive meetings with the Buckeyes, although Ohio State holds the upper hand in the all-time series (43-22) and is 23-7 against Penn State when the games are played in Columbus.
Penn State is looking to establish some sort of momentum this season after scoring an 87-83 victory over Wisconsin this week, which was the first conference loss of the year for the Badgers. Penn State’s season has been up and down, especially in Big Ten play, and the Nittany Lions have won just one game away from home this season (against Michigan in Philadelphia earlier this month).
