While QB Sean Clifford is still the starter, freshman Drew Allar has gotten into both games. Coach James Franklin has stated his intention to find series for him moving forward as well. This looks to be the early start of the transition to the next phase of Penn State football.
Auburn comes in after struggling with San Jose State for most of the game last Saturday before winning 24-16. This will be the 3rd game in a 5-game stretch at home for Auburn to open the season. They have also made this game an orange out to replicate the white out last year when Auburn traveled to State College.

Penn State has started the season strong while Auburn has come out a bit sluggish. Jordan Hair is a difficult place to play, but Penn State will be ready for the challenge. With this game heading to be close, this is my favorite play.
Against the spread
LEAN PENN STATE -2.5 (-125)
Even the experts do not know what to do here. The juice on this line makes me feel like it will soon go to -3 or even -3.5. If it stays under the key number of 3, I like it. If it gets to -3.5 or -4, I will stay away.
Over/Under
PASS.
I lean more toward the Under 47.5 (-105), but not enough to make a play on it. Even high scoring teams struggle on the plains in Auburn. I expect the same to happen here.
