Patriots elevate practice squad player at injury-ridden position

The Patriots are turning to the practice squad to beef up their defensive front

The New England Patriots are elevating defensive tackle Jeremiah Pharms Jr. for the Week 4 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.

It’s an expected move given all of the injuries along the defensive front for the Patriots. Daniel Ekuale was recently placed on injured reserve, and both Christian Barmore and Davon Godchaux are questionable to play on Sunday.

The Patriots defense got ran off the field by the Miami Dolphins in Week 2, but they bounced back strongly against the New York Jets. It’s no secret that the Cowboys will be looking to run the ball and control the line of scrimmage behind their tough offensive line.

Pharms has yet to take a regular season snap, and he might finally have a chance to do so in one of the biggest games of the season.
