Panthers’ top pass rushers remain out of practice due to illness

Brian Burns and Marquis Haynes Sr. each missed a second consecutive practice ahead of Week 16’s game against the Packers.

The Carolina Panthers are still dealing with a bit of a humbug.

Yesterday, five players landed on the initial Week 16 injury report due to an illness. And unfortunately, the illnesses has lingered—as outside linebackers Brian Burns and Marquis Haynes Sr. each missed a second consecutive day of practice.

Fellow backer Yetur Gross-Matos (knee) remained sidelined as well.

Tight end Tommy Tremble, offensive tackle David Sharpe and safety Xavier Woods—who have also been listed with the illness designation—were down as limited again.
