Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams was named a first-team All-Pro for the 2020 NFL season by the Associated Press.
Adams, who caught an NFL-high 18 touchdown passes, received 49 of a possible 50 votes for first-team All-Pro, nearly becoming an unanimous selection. He joined Stefon Diggs of the Buffalo Bills and Tyreek Hill of the Kansas City Chiefs as the three first-team All-Pro wide receivers in 2020.
Adams, a four-time Pro Bowler, is a first-time All-Pro. He is the first Packers receiver to be a first-team All-Pro since Antonio Freeman in 1998.
Despite missing 2.5 games, Adams caught 115 passes for 1,374 yards and 18 touchdowns in 2020. He set the new franchise record for catches and tied Sterling Sharpe’s team record for touchdown catches in a season.
Adams became the first player in NFL history to catch at least 100 passes and 18 touchdown passes in the same season. His 18 touchdown catches are tied for the third-most of all-time.
Adams led the NFL in receiving yards per game at 98.2. He caught 77.2 percent of his targets, averaged 9.2 yards per target and had 18 catches of at least 20 yards.
Adams posted three games with at least 140 receiving yards and multiple touchdowns, the most in the NFL this season. He had 10 or more catches in five games and at least 100 yards in seven games.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, another first-team All-Pro, had a 136.0 passer rating when targeting Adams this season.
Adams finished second behind only Alvin Kamara of the New Orleans Saints in total touchdowns in 2020. Kamara scored 21 total.
Adams injured his hamstring against the Detroit Lions in Week 2 and missed the next two games.
The Packers had four first-team All-Pros and six total All-Pros in 2020.
