Packers are 1.5-point favorites over Vikings in Week 1

The Packers (-1.5) are betting favorites over the Vikings to open the 2022 season.

The Green Bay Packers are slight betting favorites over the rival Minnesota Vikings for Week 1 of the 2022 regular season.

According to Tipico Sportsbook, the Packers are 1.5-point road favorites heading into the season opener on Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

The over/under is set at 48.5 points.

Road favorites are all the rage in Week 1: the Packers are one of 10 road teams set as the betting favorite.

As of Monday morning, over 90 percent of bets at Tipico were on the Vikings to cover at +1.5, while almost 65 percent of bets took Packers moneyline (to win).

Last season, the Packers were 1.5-point favorites over the Vikings on the road in Week 11 and lost, 34-31. In the season opener of 2020, the Packers were 1.5-point underdogs at Minnesota but won, 43-34.

Green Bay has won 15 of the last 18 games against the NFC North.

Matt LaFleur’s team was 3-3 straight up as a road favorite in 2021.

The Packers and Vikings are scheduled for kickoff at 3:25 p.m. from U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The game will air on FOX.
