Indiana Pacers rookie Kendall Brown will be out indefinitely after suffering a stress reaction in his right tibia, the team announced on Monday.
He will be reevaluated in two weeks.
Brown, who is signed to a two-way contract, has totaled 40 minutes across six appearances with the Pacers. He logged a season-high 18 minutes on Dec. 5, recording three points, five rebounds and two assists in a win over the Golden State Warriors.
The 48th pick from Baylor has also spent time in the NBA G League with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. He is averaging 11.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 blocks on 44.4% shooting from the field in six games. He had his best game on Nov. 22: 12 points, 12 rebounds and three steals.

The Pacers loved the addition of Brown in the second round this year and believe he can develop into a rotation player. He is still a bit raw in terms of his offensive ability, but the early showing by the 19-year-old is certainly an encouraging sign.
