The Oklahoma Sooners fell unranked in the AP Poll last week for the first time since 2016 after their loss to the Iowa State Cyclones had them sitting at 1-2.

This week, the Sooners picked up a big win over rival No. 22 Texas in the Red River Showdown in a four-overtime shootout 53-45.

After the win, there was some thought that this could be a chance for Oklahoma to sneak back into the rankings – but for the second straight week the Sooners remain unranked.

Oklahoma is the third team out in the “others receiving votes” category behind Marshall and NC State.

Clemson is unsurprisingly still at the top of the rankings, followed by Alabama, Georgia, Notre Dame, and North Carolina to round out the top five.

Big 12 teams in the poll include Oklahoma State at No. 7, Iowa State at No. 20, and Kansas State at No. 22.

Oklahoma has the week off this week before traveling to play at TCU on October 24th.
