Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr. left Sunday’s game against the Seattle Seahawks due to a groin injury.
As the Bengals biggest addition over the offseason to a line that has struggled to protect Joe Burrow for years now, it was concerning to see him leave the game. He didn’t return, but after the game he told Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer that he would be back after the bye week.
The Bengals are off in Week 7, so if there ever was a time for Brown to be slightly banged up, it would be when he can get an extra week of rest.
Brown initially suffered a groin injury against the Tennessee Titans but ended up playing the next week when the Bengals beat the Arizona Cardinals. However, this has been a lingering issue since that game.
With San Francisco and Buffalo coming up after the off week, the Bengals are going to need Brown to get healthy, so the bye week comes at a good time.
