Oregon 4-star WR Tyseer Denmark decommits from Ducks, expected to filp to Penn State

4-star WR Tyseer Denmark decommitted from Oregon on Sunday following an official visit to Penn State over the weekend.

The Oregon Ducks have done a great job of recruiting and getting verbal commitments from wide receiver talent in the 2024 class, but that sometimes comes at a cost, unfortunately.

The Ducks got a couple of early commitments from 4-star WR Tyseer Denmark and 4-star WR Jordan Anderson, and they’ve continued to build the WR room by picking up 4-star WR Dillon Gresham and 3-star WR Jack Ressler as well. However, the recent additions may have over-crowded the room in some minds, as Denmark reportedly decommitted from Oregon on Sunday. Denmark is now expected to flip his commitment to the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Denmark was on an official visit to Penn State over the weekend.

Rated as the No. 237 overall player and No. 33 WR in the class of 2024, losing Denmark is not ideal for Dan Lanning and the Ducks, but it’s not a blow that will sink their recruiting class, either. While Oregon has the three aforementioned receivers already committed, they are also in really good shape to pick up commitments from 4-star WR Gatlin Bair (No. 9 WR, No. 36 player in 2024), 4-star WR Jeremiah McClellan (No. 17 WR, No. 92 player in 2024), and 4-star WR Ryan Pellum (No. 14 WR, No. 69 player in 2024).

We will see over the coming weeks and months how the Ducks are able to build out the rest of their WR room after Denmark’s departure, but for fans who are panicking about the decommitment, I’m here to assure you that this isn’t something that was unexpected from the Oregon staff.
