Before Troy Aikman was announcing football games for Fox Sports. Before Aikman was leading the Dallas Cowboys to three Super Bowl victories. Before he was the number one overall selection in the 1989 NFL Draft. Before Aikman was a Heisman Trophy finalist in 1988, he was a quarterback at the University of Oklahoma.
Troy spent two years in Norman as a Sooners quarterback before transferring to UCLA. He completed just under 50 percent of his passes with one touchdown and four interceptions during that time. The Oklahoma native posted a Father’s Day on Instagram. One of the photos used you can see Aikman rocking the burnt orange.

It was a great post by him regarding being a dad of two young girls but you can’t help but see the burnt orange Texas t-shirt in the pictures.
If youâre like me, you always wonder if youâve done enough. Could I have done more? I suppose thatâs part of being a parent. I do know that our children tell our story…itâs not the press clippings, media or fans. Those that know us best will further our legacy. My hope is that I leave a lasting impression on the ones that matter most – my children. Happy Fatherâs Day to the dadâs that suit up & show up every day for their kids!
