Texas is a few days away from hosting several of the most important recruits in the class of 2023, and they may have a chance to seal the deal with a couple of them.
The primary trio of recruits expected on campus in Austin this weekend include the No. 1 overall recruit in Arch Manning, five-star running back Rueben Owens and four-star wide receiver Johntay Cook.
To add fuel to the fire, On3 recently released a prediction machine for Owens and the Longhorns were far and away the favorite to land the talented El Campo product.
The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Texas an 87.2 percent chance of securing a commitment from Rueben Owens 🤘

The Longhorns are leading in the Owens sweepstakes over in-state rival Texas A&M and Georgia.
There is a belief by 247Sports’ Mike Roach that these few players have a desire to play their college football together, so if Texas can position themselves to land even just a couple of them, it may help in adding others.
Right now it seems that Owens is the closest thing to a lock in comparison to the other two, as he was once a Texas commit and multiple recruiting sites have the Longhorns as the favorite.
Steve Sarkisian and company have a chance to bring in a very special class for the 2023 cycle, and landing just one of these recruits would be huge.
