Now that the 2023 NBA offseason is in the so-called summer doldrums, one of the best new traditions keeping NBA fans tethered ever so loosely to their favorite league is the annual summer update of the individual player ratings for the popular basketball simulation video game, NBA 2k.
And after news broke of the rating of star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum, fans of the storied franchise immediately debated whether his overall rating is a fair one in light of where the St. Louis native stands compared to his peers in the league for next season.
Among the many people taking a deep dive into Tatum’s ratings for NBA 2k24 were the hosts of the “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast, who also touched on some rumors that Kristaps Porzingis might be dealing with a foot injury.
