Winter weather in the region is wreaking havoc on sports on right now and Oklahoma basketball is no different. After already having their home game against Texas pushed back from Tuesday night to Wednesday, it has now been knocked back another day to Thursday.
As anyone in the region knows, the weather is extremely unkind right now and far from safe for anyone to travel — let alone the Longhorns who will be coming up all the way from Austin. The power conservation efforts currently going on in the state may play at least some part in this decision as well.
Originally set for an 8:00 p.m. CT tip on ESPN Tuesday night, the game was moved to a 5:00 p.m. CT tip on ESPN2 Wednesday evening after severe weather in the area. The conditions have been deemed to not have improved enough to move forward, so the Big 12 is now tentatively planning for the game to be played Thursday. Tip time and television broadcast information isn’t available at this time, but likely will be shortly.
