Oklahoma, Oregon State stumble as Kansas rejoins the US LBM Coaches Poll

Kansas up 15 spots, Oklahoma down 5 in this week’s coaches poll.

There was no movement among the top five teams in the post-Week 9 edition of the US LBM Coaches Poll.

The Georgia Bulldogs remain in the top spot with 58 of the 64 first-place votes. Both the Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes split the remaining six first-place votes with three apiece. Florida State and Washington round out the top five.

The Texas Longhorns jumped up to the No. 6 spot after Oklahoma fell five spots following their loss to the Kansas Jayhawks in Lawrence. KU was able to jump back into the top 25 as they checked in at No. 23. They were the only three Big 12 schools ranked this week. Both Kansas State and Oklahoma State received votes but remain on the outside looking in.

The Oregon Ducks jumped up to No. 7 with one fewer point than Texas. They handled Utah 35-6 in Salt Lake City. The Utes fell five spots in the top 25 to No. 18 just ahead of Oregon State who fell seven spots after a loss to Arizona. UCLA jumped four spots to bypass their Los Angeles rivals, USC. The Bruins took care of Colorado on Saturday night.

The ACC’s North Carolina Tar Heels barely held on to a top 25 spot after falling eight slots thanks to the loss to Georgia Tech.
