Oklahoma makes top-six for 2021 safety Daymon David

Oklahoma is hot on the recruiting trail and more and more recruits continue to give the Sooners a long look. Daymon David is another.

Oklahoma is hot on the recruiting trail and more and more recruits continue to give the Sooners a long look.

The Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia area is starting to become a pipeline for Lincoln Riley. He has landed two recruits in the last two recruiting classes from the area and is in strong contention for five-star Caleb Williams.

Add Daymond David to the mix—a 6-foot-2, 170 pound safety from the DMV area that included Oklahoma in his top-six.

David may be one of the most underrated prospects Oklahoma is recruiting in the 2021 recruiting class. He is listed as a two-star recruit on Rivals despite offers from Miami, Michigan State, Michigan, North Carolina State and the Sooners.

Alex Grinch already has one safety committed for the 2021 recruiting class in in-state safety Jordan Mukes and that’s it.

Oklahoma’s picked up two commitments from five-star wide receiver Mario Williams and four-star pass rusher Clayton Smith in the last two weeks. The 2021 recruiting class currently has seven commitments and is ranked 26th in the country according to Rivals.
