Oklahoma back into Amway Coaches Poll at No. 24

The Oklahoma Sooners are back into the Amway Coaches Poll at No. 24 after their win over TCU on Saturday.

Oklahoma picked up a decisive 33-14 win over the TCU Horned Frogs on Saturday to put them back above .500 at 3-2 on the year.

The Sooners’ reward is a spot back into the top 25 of the Amway Coaches Poll at No. 24.

Oklahoma had been receiving votes even after the 1-2 start, so it’s no surprise that the back-to-back wins over Texas and TCU was enough to lift them back into the rankings. Losses from Virginia Tech, Minnesota and North Carolina State certainly helped.

Clemson remains the top team after their win over Syracuse. Rounding out the top five is Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Georgia. Other Big 12 teams in the rankings include Oklahoma State at No. 6, Kansas State at No. 16, and Iowa State at No. 23.

Next up for a Oklahoma will be a date with unranked Texas Tech in Lubbock on Halloween night.
