Ohio State’s Chase Young, Nick Bosa make BTN’s All-Decade Team

Ohio State football edge rushers Chase Young and Joey Bosa were selected to BTN”s All-Decade Big Ten football Team Thursday.

The Ohio State representation on the Big Ten Network’s All-Decade Teams continue. The Buckeyes already had more selections in hoops than any other program, and have — as expected — continued to have plenty of players selected for the football version of the squads as well.

The latest two Ohio State players to make the All-Decade Big Ten football team were defensive end Chase Young and Nick Bosa. BTN unveiled the two as a part of its announcement of the defensive lineman and wide receivers. That means that of the four D-lineman, two belong to Ohio State. One could also make an argument for Nick Bosa over Purdue’s Ryan Kerrigan, but I guess three from the same school would be a bit ridiculous. J.J. Watt of Wisconsin was the fourth member of the defensive line.

You know both of these guys pretty well. Young simply took games over at times as an edge rusher, led the entire FBS in sacks last season despite sitting out two games, and was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. He was a First-Team All-Big Ten and consensus All-American as well in 2019.

Bosa hit the ground running with significant minutes as a freshman and played dominant on the edge for three years before departing early for the NFL Draft. He too was a First-Team All-Big Ten performer but was also a two-time consensus All-American.
