Ohio State is in the party of all parties for college football. The Buckeyes join No. 1 seed Alabama, No. 2 seed Clemson, and No. 4 seed Notre Dame. At the start of the season, OSU was right up there with Clemson as the two teams with the best odds to win the national title according to multiple sports book websites.
Now. though, as we sit on the doorstep of the College Football Playoff, Ohio State’s odds have changed slightly based on what all the wise-guys and oddsmakers have seen. And, based on that, the Buckeyes’ odds to win the whole enchilada have fallen a bit. They now have the third best odds according to BetMGM.
Alabama is the clear favorite with -155 odds, favored by Clemson at +270, then Ohio State at +525, and Notre Dame rounding it out at +2000.
We’ll keep an eye on these as things get even closer, but for now, it looks like Ohio State can continue to play the underdog card.
