We were robbed of one of the best non-conference games of the college football slate last year when the COVID-19 pandemic forced a lot of the nonconference games to be shelved. One of those was Ohio State’s scheduled trip to Eugene to take on Oregon. It would have been an early top ten clash that captured the entire country’s attention. Alas, it was not meant to be as both the Big Ten and Pac-12 eventually delayed the start of the season and played a conference-only docket.
That was last year and thankfully, it appears as though things are at least headed towards closer to a normal type of schedule for the 2021 campaign. That means Oregon will come to Columbus to play the Buckeyes in what would have been the return trip. That game — and the entire fall schedule — looks to be a go this year.
And now, we also know what time that game will take place. According to comments Mike Mulvihill, Executive Vice President, Head of Strategy and Analytics for FOX Sports made while appearing on The Herd with Colin Cowherd, the OSU vs. Oregon game will be the Big Noon Saturday game of the week. That means you can tune into FOX on September 11 at high Noon and see what kind of uniforms the Ducks fly into the ‘Shoe with.

I know I am excited about this game and many more that will act as a certain type of welcome back moment this fall. Some of those big intersectional matchups we all lost last season should be coming back to a television or streaming device near you this fall.
