Ohio State vs. Indiana BetMGM line shockingly makes no movement prior to kickoff

There has been no movement in the odds BetMGM released earlier this week. Ohio State is still favored to easily handle the Indiana Hoosiers.

There are generally a few phases to the odds released for college football games, but apparently not for Ohio State’s game against Indiana Saturday.

There’s the initial line, then the mid-week action, and finally, those getting in on things right before kickoff. Generally, because of that, we see the line move a bit from when the numbers are first released to a day prior to kickoff.

But that hasn’t been the case for the top ten tussle between the Buckeyes and Hoosiers for Saturday. BetMGM released an opening line with OSU favored by -20.5 very early in the week, and that’s where it sat all the way until the day before kickoff. That line hasn’t budged at all and still has the Buckeyes as an almost three-touchdown favorite.

Count me in the camp that’s a little shocked. I really believed the initial line was an overreach for two highly rated, undefeated teams meeting up and that we’d see a lot of money swinging that line closer, but no.

It appears the wise guys must think Indiana isn’t as good as its record indicates, with history backing them up. Here at Buckeyes Wire though, we don’t see it that way. All but one of our predictions have this one being a little tighter than the line.

I guess we’ll see on Saturday.
