Ohio State is currently still trying to put together another fantastic recruiting class, this time for the class of 2023. As it stands, the Buckeyes are in the top five according to the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings but need to keep the momentum building.
One high-priority target that would help continue a strong showing is getting 5-star defensive end, Matayo Uiagalelei, out of the famed St. John Bosco in Bellflower, California. The younger brother of Clemson quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei, Matayo is rated as the No. 2 edge rusher and 21st overall prospect in the class.
He’s already visited Ryan Day and the Ohio State campus prior, but he’s set up three more official visits with Columbus being one of them. So when will he be on the banks of the Olentangy next? Well, just around the corner it seems. According to 247Sports, Uiagalelei has the weekend of June 10 set aside to visit Ohio State. He also has visits to Oregon and USC scheduled in June so the Buckeyes will need to continue to make a good impression.
